  • Kelsey Poitras

Kelsey, also known to friends as KP, specializes in coaching the athletic and strength aspects of aerial arts. Her apparatus of choice has always been silk; while dabbling in sling, straps, and rope, over the years, she has been using all of these apparatuses more recently for a multi-apparatus approach to things she loves to do in the air, like dynamics and rolling.

KP is the proud owner of an aerial studio in Virginia Beach and takes pride in the work she does with beginner and intermediate aerialists finding their strength and confidence in the air. Before finding aerials, she was a personal trainer and believes in the importance of strength training, not just for regular human life, but very much for unlocking your capabilities in the air.

  • Constance Echo Palmer

    Constance Echo Palmer

Constance is a movement artist and aerialist who specializes in vertical apparatus; fabric, corde lisse (rope), and double/multi corde but also teaches lyra, dance trapeze, sling, pole and flying pole. She is versed in partnering on bars (trapeze and lyra) as well as vertical apparatus. Constance is a touring performer which informs her style of teaching, focusing heavily on technique and choreo with performance quality. Her passion for performing is matched only by her passion for teaching.

  • Janelle Peters

    Janelle Peters

Janelle Peters, (they/them) is a queer circus artist, choreographer, director, and circus coach. Specializing in contortion and aerial hoop, Janelle draws upon their background in martial arts, and dance to create work with the goal of leaving audiences feeling seen, and whole. In addition to performing and teaching independently and at festivals all over the northern hemisphere (so far), Janelle is a founding member, choreographer, performer, and first director with Oakland, California-based company, Hypothetical Circus, and the founder of Denver Scratch Works In Progress Showings.

Alongside their artistic and coaching work, Janelle creates materials and facilitates conversations about mental health, wellbeing, and systemic change in circus. Janelle offers individual, trauma-informed, social-justice-oriented psychotherapy from a queer lens in their small private practice in Colorado, USA.

She completed the Aerial Teacher Training Program in January of 2016 and since has been working as a coach to help others discover the joy of aerial and their potential to fly. She hopes that she can help achieve each students individual goals, help them find their own artistic voice and influences, and hone their abilities. Anastasia loves vertical apparatus, and is currently specializing in rope.
