Rehearsals/performances
Open Studio sessions for performers only will be on Saturday mornings in August from 10:00 to 12:00, starting Aug 6.
All performers will be expected to be in attendance for all dress rehearsals and performances
Performer Workshops
Later, this open studio will turn into “Performance Workshops.” You will be able to sign up for these workshops through Mindbody. You MUST attend AT LEAST 3 of these workshops the end of October in order to stay eligible for the showcase. We will be making final cuts, if any, by Nov 1. The showcase staff needs to see a mostly roughed-out version of your act by this date, or you might be asked to relinquish your spot.

May 7
Be sure to have at least some of your choreography done before the workshop. Otherwise it’s a waste of your time and ours. We’ll place the workshops on the Mindbody schedule. Make sure to sign up for them as you would any class. That way we know whom to expect and what equipment to have ready to go. You do not have to attend all sessions, but plan on coming to at least 2. They’re a great way to get feedback and help on your routine, and they help us plan the flow of the show.

There’s a copy of the previous showcase program in the folder if you need help or ideas with your bio. For intros, whatever you think the audience would like to know about the inspiration for your piece. It’ll be read (and probably edited a bit) by the emcee just prior to your performance.
Put your bio and intro into a file (MS Word is great, but I’m flexible), and upload to Dropbox with your name in the filename.
Music should be a file in either .mp3 or .m4a format. Don’t send me a link to something on iTunes or Spotify and expect me to chase it down. I won’t. Please make sure to include your name in the file name so we know whose is whose.
