Showcase Info for Performers

This page will be updated as info becomes available.  Please bookmark it, since it’s for performers only, and there’s no public link from the Monarca site.

March 4: Apparatus choice due

April 1: Music upload due (see Dropbox link below) and Choreography due

April 30: Bio and emcee intro information due (see Dropbox link below)

Open Studio sessions for performers only will be on Saturday mornings starting February 4 from 10:30 to 12:30, and continuing through April 29.  Initially these sessions are for you to develop and hone your routine.  You must attend at least 3 of these workshops by April 15 in order to maintain your eligibility for the showcase.

The purpose of these sessions is for you to hone your choreography, build endurance, and receive creative and technical assistance while you are creating your act. These workshops will be led/supervised by one of our fantastic Monarca staff.
We will be utilizing both studios, so there will be plenty of space!

As we get closer to the showcase, we’ll also use these sessions to watch your full act and offer feedback for performance.

All performers will be expected to be in attendance for all dress rehearsals and performances

Dropbox folder: For dropping off music, bios & intros, etc.

There’s a copy of the previous showcase program in the folder if you need help or ideas with your bio.  For intros, whatever you think the audience would like to know about the inspiration for your piece.  It’ll be read (and probably edited a bit) by the emcee just prior to your performance.

Put your bio and intro into a file (MS Word is great, but I’m flexible), and upload to Dropbox with your name in the filename.

Music should be a file in either .mp3 or .m4a format.  Don’t send me a link to something on iTunes or Spotify and expect me to chase it down.  I won’t.  Please make sure to include your name in the file name so we know whose is whose.
